Allison Fundis is the Education and Public Engagement Coordinator for the Ocean Observatories Initiative (OOI) at the University of Washington. She has been with the OOI program since 2010 working to engage the public, students, and educators in ocean observatory science and engineering. She holds a MS in geology from the University of Florida, where she focused on mapping the first observed repeat eruption at a mid-ocean ridge using deep-sea submersibles. Prior to earning her MS, Allison was a high school biology and chemistry teacher at the University School of Nashville in Tennessee.
