After bad weather prevented the VISIONS’13 team from deploying the secondary node and extension cable at the primary node 1A site at the Slope Base, R/V Thompson steamed towards Axial Seamount where weather conditions are much more favorable for operations. In this video, Chief Scientist John Delaney, Co-chief Scientist Deb Kelley, and ROPOS Engineers Keith Shepherd and Jason Williams explain the operations we will begin early morning of July 10 when we arrive on site at the base of Axial Seamount.
