I enjoy being out on the water doing field work.  At the end of this year, I will complete a post-baccalaureate at the University of Washington with a B.S. in Oceanography.  In addition to my interest in the oceans and ocean processes, I teach military strategic studies to graduate students online.  I like adventure, and I am a mother, a veteran, a ski instructor, and I like to swim, hike, and bicycle.  I aspire to serve as a bridge between scientists and policymakers regarding the importance of the oceans to the global environment and to national security.
