I am a senior majoring in Biological Oceanography at UW.  I work in the Seaglider Fabrication Center within the School of Oceanography.  I wish to bridge the gap between biology and technology and I am trying to develop other ways of gathering data of zooplankton via a Seaglider.  I have been on the R/V Thomas G. Thompson once, participating in the Senior Cruise to the South Pacific in 2013-2014.  My research was Zooplankton Abundance around Muli Guyot; a Seamount in the Samoan Archipelago. I look forward to learning many aspects of the OOi project, especially the technology that is being installed to get a better understanding of ocean processes in the North Pacific.
