The Pacific Science Center in Seattle opened it's first featured exhibit as part of the Portal to Current Research series on May 27, 2011. This exhibit focuses on "Life in Extreme Environments" and showcases Deb Kelley's research on hydrothermal vents. The exhibit includes samples of rocks, hydrothermal vents, and biology from the deep sea as well as HD video of hydrothermal systems and oceanographic research. Read more about the exhibit here.
