Anna Hildebrand is a PhD student in the Lapham Lab at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science. Her interests lie in the sedimentary cycling of methane, a powerful greenhouse gas, in estuarine and marine environments. Her dissertation work is focused on the anaerobic oxidation of methane in sediments of the Chesapeake Bay and methane seeps off the coast of Oregon. In her spare time, Anna likes hiking, reading, and spending time with her two cats.
