My main research interests include marine chemistry and disturbance ecology in near-shore habitats. In particular, I specialize in estimating oxygen production and consumption rates of estuarine and coastal zones using an array of in situ oxygen sensors and benthic incubations. These rates are measured to estimate the overall source and sink of oxygen to further our understanding of existing and potential hypoxic events. I currently provide logistical and analytical support for Dr. Clare Reimers Marine Chemistry Lab located at Hatfield Marine Science Center.
