Terrie Manning

Senior project

At 20, my goal was to be an at-sea oceanographer, but that changed when I met my husband. Thirty-eight years later, we are still happily married and our daughter, a UW SAFS Master’s student, has inspired me to continue my formal education. Visions 2018 is a long awaited dream come true. I love learning about our oceans and sharing what I learn. I am humbled at the privilege to be a part of this incredible expedition to explore the coastal cabled array, seamounts, and underwater ecosystem.

Professional experience includes: cayman diving lodge manager, teaching recreational SCUBA, k-8 PE, and 6-8 science, hyperbaric chamber operator, emergency and diving medical technician, commercial geoduck diver, salmon and shellfish biologist, research analyst, property acquisition project manager.
