My name is Chris Williams and I am currently majoring in oceanography with a minor in chemistry at the University of Washington. My interests include ocean mapping, ocean technology, and chemical oceanography. I have been on various research cruises around the Puget Sound, but VISIONS will be my first open ocean experience so I’m very excited! I am also excited to explore my interests in oceanography and apply skills I’ve learned throughout my time at UW. Outside of oceanography I enjoy archery, backpacking, and running. My goals are to be the first child in my family to obtain a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree, and possibly a PhD in oceanography.
