Hello! My name is Ramya and I am a second-year undergraduate majoring in Computer Engineering at the University of Washington. I am currently involved in robotics research at the Human-Centered Robotics Lab and I plan to run a robotics summer camp for middle/high school girls. The ocean has always fascinated me because although it covers over 70% of the Earth’s surface, there is so much we don’t know about it since it is a challenging place to study even with our current technology. As someone who is interested to understand and solve environmental issues with the help of technology, I am excited to gain insight from the ocean firsthand through my VISIONS’19 experience!
