1800h: We are leaving Astoria, right on time. The weather is great – well, of course it is grey and sort of raining but this is Oregon, right? The infamous Astoria Bar is nowhere to be found; everybody is astonished! No raging waters, walls of waves or white caps … today it is flat as a pancake. I will not complain and happily take off my scopolamine patch… this is going to be a ride in the park!
