Zariel Zamudio (Leg 2)

Zariel Zamudio is a first generation student and current oceanography major at the University of Washington. She is a second year undergraduate student and plans to continue her education as a graduate student at the UW. Zariel is also currently employed in the UW oceanography department as an undergraduate research assistant, where she helps with ongoing laboratory experiments on cyanobacteria in the Oxygen Deficient Zone in Rocap lab. The VISIONS’24 expedition will be her first time out at sea, but certainly, it won’t be the last!
