Breaking Down Communication Between Scientists and Engineers
This article explores the relationships between scientists and engineers. Their cooperation is necessary for all scientific ocean operations because of the massive technical challenges. The VISIONS ’13 cruise was no exception and there were many opportunities for Ryan to observe and talk to the scientists and engineers aboard the ship about their interactions. Ryan formulated these ideas into a discussion about what tools scientists and engineers use to communicate and their effectiveness.
