Through interviews with scientists, engineers, students, and robotic vehicle operators involved in the UW VISIONS’17 OOI-NSF Cabled Array expedition, Kevin Eyer (a teacher at the Kingston Middle School) produced this engaging video about the amazing opportunities that sea-going oceanographic research cruises provide. The team provides insights about their favorite parts of being at sea and involved in this program – from incredible people to work with, seeing places rarely viewed by human eyes, to finding answers to questions and solving challenges. The participants also provide guidance on how they became involved in oceanography and share their thoughts about how to enter this field. Credit: K.
