With a curiosity for the natural world, I came to University of Washington from a small town in Montana back in 2017 pursuing a degree in Engineering. After taking multiple classes I realized my love for physics and am now perusing that as a degree. After taking one of Debbie Kelley’s oceanography courses, I realized how astounding the oceans really are and how they support all life on earth. This inspired me to not only be a part of an once in a lifetime opportunity but also look into biophysics as a potential career path. I am very grateful to be part of this team and hope to learn more about what the ocean has to offer.
