Hello! My name is Oliver, and I’m a third-year Marine Biology student at the UW. Curiosity and love of the ocean led me to this field, and has since driven my particular interest in the biology of chemosynthesis in these unique hydrothermal systems. I am thrilled to be joining the VISIONS’25 expedition, and learning from fellow students and professionals on the open sea. I am also an avid artist and painter, and am excited to see this experience come to life on the page as I document my time on the R/V Atlantis! Among many other things, I enjoy coffee any hour of the day, slide guitar, fossil hunting, and a good chat.
