The questions we are now faced with are, what is this doing to the ecosystem? And, what can we do to fix it?

One of the aspects of this cruise that I particularly enjoy are the daily lectures from the science crew. Every day thus far, we’ve gathered in the library (yes, the boat has a library!)

I wake in time for breakfast. Part of me wanted to get up early and see part of the following dives.

My day starts off at 0400 with a watch at ROPOS.

It is 3am and my sleep schedule is officially wrecked.

This will be one to remember, with many more to come.

With a storm on our tail, we are preparing to enter Newport.

I have now spent over a week on this ship and still enjoy every moment.

I also think it is going to be hard to sleep when I get home. I’ve really come to like the rocking of the ship as I fall asleep.

There’s really no way to describe the experience I’ve had thus far sailing on the Thomas G. Thompson with the VISIONS’14 crew.
