Modifications to the RSN cabled observatory suggested at the RSN-Axial Workshop in Seattle, WA October 5-7, 2011. 

The half-size test frame at Axial shows little corrosion and only minor biofouling after nearly a year in the water. A test plexiglass panel and camera dome were each coated on one-half of their exposed surfaces with a new material (ClearSignal) intended to prevent attachment by marine organisms.
