Hi! My name is Adrian Chang, and I am a rising sophomore at the University of Washington double majoring in marine biology and oceanography. For about as long as I can remember, I have had a deep passion for the ocean and the life that inhabits it. I am particularly fascinated by the deep ocean and the organisms that have evolved to thrive in such a hostile environment. I am extremely excited to gain firsthand experience in deep-sea research and observe and study the unique life surrounding hydrothermal vents during VISIONS ’26.
