Hello, my name is Justin Campbell and I am thrilled to be a part of the VISIONS 26 cruise. I am a rising sophomore at the University of Washington majoring in Oceanography. After taking Professor Deb Kelley’s class during the winter quarter, I am looking forward to getting to visit and witness some of the places, equipment, and people that I studied in the classroom. Being in the control room with Jason (the submersible ROV) and getting to help work with the equipment on deck are just part of the valuable experiences that I will get from getting to go out into the field. I am also excited about getting to spend an extended time out at sea, visit some of the most extreme environments on the planet, and create a project based on my time on the R/V Revelle.
