I am a sophomore at the University of Washington, and I plan on majoring in chemical engineering. I grew up in Poulsbo, Washington. Through exploring Liberty Bay either in my family’s boat, or kayaking I gained a strong  appreciation of the ocean. I am excited to participate in the 2014 expedition to see how modern research is performed, and to see if it looks like a strong career path. When not at school I enjoy hiking, horse riding, and cooking.
