Maleen Kidiwela (Leg 4)

Maleen Kidiwela is a fourth-year PhD student in Marine Geophysics at the School of Oceanography, currently working under the supervision of Dr. William Wilcock. His main research focuses on the inflation and deflation cycles of the Axial Seamount, utilizing a dedicated acoustic network within the caldera for this purpose. Furthermore, Maleen conducts ambient noise seismology studies using slope stations from the Ocean Observatories Initiative (OOI) cabled array. His research interests span across active source tomography, volcanology, computational seismology, and seafloor geodesy, demonstrating his engagement with the multifaceted field of Marine Geophysics.
