Han Weinrich (Leg 2)

My name is Han, a second year Oceanography and Biology double major. I am currently researching lead tracing in eelgrass beds using isotopic fingerprinting in the Isotope Geochemistry Lab here at UW. I am also interested in studying marine protists and plankton ecology, especially in the benthos and in vent and seep ecosystems. Outside of academia my hobbies include hiking, camping, and caring for my menagerie of pet fish, tarantulas, and amphibians. Through VISIONS this year I’m hoping to gain hands-on research vessel experience and make connections with researchers in the field.
