James Tilley

Applied Physics Laboratory Engineer

James Tilley leads efforts on the electronic subsystems that interface the OOI Regional Cabled Array secondary nodes to the sensor networks. Prior to joining the Regional Cabled Array team, James was a Senior Electrical Engineer with Alaska Native Technologies. James holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nevada. He has extensive experience in developing acoustic systems for fish identification, underwater acoustic data collection, and autonomous underwater vehicles. His specialty is designing custom electronics for rugged environments as well as writing the embedded software required by the different platforms.
