Anabel is a rising sophomore studying ecological engineering at Oregon State University after completing her Associates in Arts and Sciences and high school diploma through Everett Community College’s Ocean Research College Academy in 2020. Anabel is passionate about the ocean, and is interested in the application of ecological engineering through the lenses of ocean technology and coastal systems. On VISIONS ’21 Anabel is excited to see the application of these technologies and work alongside professionals at sea.
Anabel has experience with marine research and technology in the Puget Sound including submersible operations and maintenance through an internship at OceanGate, inc. and CTD data collection and analysis. She is thrilled for the opportunity to see these concepts applied on a large-scale research ship to seamounts, hydrothermal vents, and the cabled array as a whole.
